In 2014-2015, the institutions of the network of the University of Quebec employed approximately 7,071 regular employees, including 2,863 teachers. During the same period, network institutions have completed four capital projects (construction or renovation) exceeding a budget of $ 1 million representing a total investment of $ 15.4 million. Also seven projects have been launched for a total estimated value of $ 32 million.
In terms of networking with the business community, the University of Quebec has innovated by creating and coordinating the implementation of Know Affairs , a unique initiative in Canada. For each edition, it allows to combine knowledge of fifty graduate students of institutions of the network of the University of Quebec, experience and vision of many local entrepreneurs, in a process of diversification and regional economic revitalization. Supported by socio-economic and government stakeholders, students explore new regional potential and identify many business opportunities and structuring projects, some of them with value. The initiative Know Affairs of the University of Quebec in 2014 received the Excellence in Education Award from the Institute of Public Administration of Quebec.
