Health & Physical Education Faculty

Position Summary

The Health and Physical Education Faculty member works as part of a team responsible for delivering an integrated health and physical education program into the formal education curriculum of the College. The faculty member develops and implements programs that emphasize the relationship between nutrition, fitness, health and wellness; teaching the importance of exercise and fitness, personal training and recreational pursuits. The incumbent is responsible to increase the students’ knowledge and skills in a variety of individual and team sports such as swimming, basketball, volleyball, cricket, netball, handball, soccer, squash, indoor climbing and aerobic. The faculty member works as part of a team in inter and intra school sports programs.

Requirements

• Masters Degree in Physical Education or Human Movement or equivalent is essential
• Current accredited certifications in First Aid and swimming are essential
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience in a college, university or secondary school setting.
• Experience in personal fitness training.
• Experience in administrating and coaching teams.
• Experience in motor skill development
• Excellent communication and motivational skills.
