Welcome to a University that empowers students not just to imagine, but to fully inhabit their dreams. To lay aside their limits, their doubts and their fears. And pursue their promise with all the passion they have within.

We are a student-centered University that values honesty, service, Sabbath, hospitality, growth and justice. We believe that neither financial circumstances nor diverse background should be barriers to an Ozarks education. We promote vigorous teaching and learning in keeping with the University’s mission of preparing students for life beyond Ozarks. We emphasize an experience that is academically rewarding, strengthens vocational discernment, builds personal integrity and encourages spiritual growth.

Today, University of the Ozarks continues to push boundaries, whether culturally (more than 15 percent of our students are from outside of the United States), in accessibility (we haven’t raised the cost of tuition since 2012), in leadership (Ozarks Outdoors offers students the opportunity to obtain leadership skills and personal confidence while experiencing the picturesque nature of Northwest Arkansas), or athletically (more than 40 percent of our student body competes in intercollegiate athletics.)

True to our Christian heritage, we prepare students from diverse religious, cultural, educational and economic backgrounds to live life fully. PLAN, PROMISE, DREAM. We call this the 70/80/90 goal. We believe in it. We actively strive to achieve it. The plan is to graduate in four years with the promise that you will be prepared to live out your dreams. We invite you to make your dreams a reality and we take great pride in helping you.

You bring the dreams and together we promise to develop the plan. At University of the Ozarks we provide you with more than a degree. We help you find your passion and give you the foundation you need to move forward – confident and prepared, endowed with the tools and perspective you need to make a difference wherever you go.

Throughout its long history, the University of the Ozarks has consistently provided creative, student-oriented innovation in higher education. At the heart of this innovation has always been a powerful classroom experience offered by talented faculty experts who understand how to stimulate students intellectually through professional preparation and a full offering of studies in the liberal arts.

We know that learning in the classroom happens differently for each individual and our faculty understand that students learn in a variety of ways. One classroom might be filled with discussion, another might take a field trip, while yet another might encourage you to explore a research topic with your student peers.

The University of the Ozarks provides the opportunity for students to achieve these things by participating in our LENS program, a powerful combination of one major and two minors which has at its core the opportunity to develop vital orientations to view the world.

The scientist only sees the world through one lens as does the person in humanities and the person in business. But an Ozarks education asks you to see and know each of these. And when you see the world through multiple perspectives, you can change the world in multiple ways.

At Ozarks, we encourage students to fully engage in the Ozarks experience. Learning happens everywhere. Through involvement and transformative opportunities, we help each student reach their full potential and leave Ozarks prepared to live their lives fully.

Our Residential Life program at Ozarks is vital to the development and success of our students. By living on campus, you will be exposed to a variety of backgrounds, be enriched by the programming and activities taking place in the residence halls, and forge lifelong friendships. We are committed to ensuring you have an enjoyable college experience, one filled with lots of Student Activities. Come check out the exciting events planned this year.

When you live on campus, you’ll meet people from a wide range of backgrounds and beliefs, and you may develop friendships that will last a lifetime. All Ozarks residence halls feature a full slate of both planned and impromptu activities, so there’s nearly always something going on! We develop opportunities and experiences that build our community. Residence halls are dynamic facilities where students may interact, grow, mature, learn, and effectively pursue their academic, personal, and spiritual goals.

At the University of the Ozarks, Career Services is your bridge. For students, it is the bridge between you and your first destination. We will coach you every step of the way through assessments, career exploration, networking, summer jobs, study abroad, internships, job search strategies, and interviewing preparation. We will coach you through graduate school applications too!

Since 1834, we’ve been pushing boundaries and blazing new trails. It’s a tradition we plan to keep going. Today, we continue to break new ground, adapting our curriculum to create a generation of bold new thinkers with the skills to lead in a changing world.
