In 2001, USIU and CSPP merged, forming Alliant with San Francisco Law School (SFLS) joining in 2010. From 1909 through today, one constant among these institutions has been a legacy of empowerment and impact. We have kept the tradition of employing noteworthy faculty and graduating high-achieving students. Together they have impacted the world in a profound way.

Online credential program allowed me to substitute teach during the day and complete my coursework in my own time. I have had nothing short of a phenomenal experience with this school! Credential staff were personal and called to check in whenever I needed some guidance. Excellent program! If you are looking to get your teaching credential and masters this is hands down the best program out there!

I love the culture competence and emotional intelligence of AIU. I especially love that they are very involved in the community, creating an active civic bridge between academia and the community. It is a small but fierce university.

I loved the small school campus. The professors got to know you and you felt like you were given good direction and guidance. The campus was informal and had a good feel to it. Being a private school, there were many options to getting a class even when it doesn't fall into the semester you need it in. I loved the multi-cultural presence. I grew tremendously and it has benefited me in my work and personally. I made friendships there that will always remain in my heart. I would recommend this university as an excellent choice for a well-rounded education with a lot of notable professors and guest lecturers across fields. It's especially well-known for its School of Human Behavior (Counseling, Psychology). Looking back over the past 35 yrs since graduation, I know my education prepared me well for a career in education and counseling.

I completed my teaching credentials through Alliant and had a very positive experience with everyone I encountered while a student there. Classes met once per week and were taught by professionals in the field of Education. Professor Yasmin Dunn, Program Coordinator Lisa Mauricio, and Field Supervisor Dr. Karen Glasgow, were all accommodating and understood the needs of a working adult trying to finish his teaching credential while teaching full time. I experienced no issues and was always able to communicate with everyone in the offices, and with my other professors. I appreciate all the work they did to get me through. I thank Doctors Beauchamp, Malupa-Kim, Palley, Reeves-Gutierrez, Chupina, and Kaplan for all their support and professionalism. In the credentialing office, the help and support from Lisa Delmar-Edmonds was invaluable. She made the entire credentialing process so easy and headache free for me. I enjoyed the Alliant model and had an outstanding and positive experience. When it was time to complete my Master's Degree, I decided on Alliant. Alliant International University was such a blessing and a positive change from the awful experience I had dealt with while I was a student at National University. I fully recommend this institution as a place that understands that working adults have many different needs. I felt fully supported at all times and I am proud to be a graduate of and call Alliant my university. Thank you to all at Alliant International University!

If you want to learn and do not need someone to hold your hand, this is a great school. It requires not much independence for some. The class sizes are small and it gives you great access to profs. And the IT department at this school is outdated and overprotective. And the school is a good place to learn.
