Providing relevant education relies on an ongoing connection to the real world. Through our network of experienced faculty and influential professionals, Full Sail University's degree programs are able to stay dialed into today's industries and trends.
From business leaders, to filmmakers and producers, to innovators in technology, design, and gaming, instructors at Full Sail University are deeply experienced and stay actively involved in their professions. They serve as mentors and collaborators as they support the paths of their students.
In order to keep our curriculum relevant, our programs look to teams of experienced advisors. These active professionals are able to inform our courses and degrees by sharing insights on everything from technological advances to hiring needs. Full Sail University's educational model is structured month-to-month so that this feedback can be readily incorporated - allowing degrees to evolve along with their industries.
From Oscar and GRAMMY-winners, to animators, to creative directors and entrepreneurs, our Hall of Fame alumni have made significant contributions to their industries – as well as the Full Sail community. Every year, we celebrate their accomplishments through a weeklong event complete with educational panels, entertainment, and more.Six new graduates are chosen for the Hall of Fame each year. This honor serves as a tribute to the creative inspiration, technical brilliance, and determination of each inductee, their unyielding dedication to more than a decade of excellence in their professional career, and their heartfelt commitment to the students, faculty, staff, and graduates of Full Sail University. Hundreds of candidates are considered for selection, and the individuals chosen for a given year's class are confirmed by a Full Sail committee of faculty, administrators, and past Hall of Fame inductees.
Each year, Full Sail honors past and present inductees by hosting a week-long celebration in and around its Winter Park campus. The event features panels presented by industry leaders and alumni, workshops, meet and greet sessions, and other educational opportunities for students.Guests may experience the on-campus Hall of Fame exhibit featuring artifacts and memorabilia from the careers of select alumni presented in 60-foot-mixed-media wall. The week culminates in an induction ceremony honoring the six most recent graduates entering the Hall of Fame.
From producing indie films, to launching creative studios, to sitting behind the boards on chart-topping albums, our alumni have amazing stories to tell. Check out some of our favorite Hall of Fame moments and get to know these outstanding Full Sail graduates.
True artists see beyond color and shape. They see the world in terms of possibility – the creative potential inherent in a color palate, a block of clay, or the way type moves across a page.Art is a profound act of expression, and when it meets design, it results in meaningful concepts and objects that shape our day-to-day lives. Our degree programs are designed to equip serious artists with a comprehensive toolbox, combining traditional skills like drawing and sculpting with digital techniques like motion graphics and 3D arts.
You’re a mover. A shaker. An idea-driven thought leader. You happily accept the phrases “good enough” and “the way it’s always been done” as personal challenges. You’ll not only learn fundamentals, whether it’s business planning or how to examine data, but you’ll also dive into specialized topics and explore your own unique ideas. By providing coursework based on real businesses and scenarios, our programs help you develop the kinds of entrepreneurial skills you’ll use long after your degree program is complete.
From viral sensations to blockbuster hits, filmmakers have more options than ever when it comes to finding an audience.Independent filmmaking is anything but— it’s a well oiled machine composed of many parts, all working together to achieve a single goal. Whether you’re learning online or on set, you’ll build skills in an environment that takes its cue from a professional studio. You’ll learn to effectively balance the creative aspects of world building and storytelling with the practical aspects of running a production – all while sharing your work with faculty and peers for constructive evaluation.
When you’re immersed in a game, everything else seems to fall away. Not merely content to watch a story unfold, gamers crave entertainment experiences that require active participation. With more than a decade of experience in gaming, Full Sail’s programs have evolved to suit the growing needs of developers, animators, writers, and designers alike. From iteration to UX, every step of the teaching process is designed to emulate the development studio experience, and arm students with a knowledge base as vast and varied as the industry itself.
In a world where communication breeds connection, the act of sharing our experiences has become second nature.Communities no longer have geographical borders – a breaking news story, oddball commercial, or heated social debate can gain international exposure in minutes. Whether it’s through journalism, marketing, creative writing, or public relations, you’ll hone your skills through workshops and ongoing portfolio projects designed to help you find your voice — which is elemental to your growth as a communications professional.
Music means something different to everyone — but to some, it means everything. Here, aspiring composers will evolve beyond writing; they’ll diversify their talents and learn how to become indispensable. Engineers will not only train their ears; they’ll practice on (and learn the science behind) industry-standard recording equipment. Those interested in the production of live events will do more than study the elements of a great performance; they’ll build those skills in live venues, with real audiences and real performers.

If you know what you want, and you want to do it fast - Full Sail University is the University for you. From day one I completely fit in. Everyone there was an artist or a musician and the place was oozing with creativity. Students are given assignments on professional equipment and should be prepared for a lot of hard work since this college has a typical 4 year curriculum condensed into 2 years. Florida is a great place to be during your undergrad, and with Rollins, UCF, UF and Valencia right around the corner; there's always a party to go to. Full Sail University is great for students who are liberal, hippie-ish and artistic.

Full Sail University frenetic schedule and demanding course load was the perfect "sampler" for my future career in television production. The school is costly, but I more than made up for the expense incurred by rising quickly in my field as a direct result of being able to use knowledge and technique gained during my time there. I would suggest that students on the fence about a media career not attend... those not already full-tilt committed to a career in the programs offered should consider testing the water in a less expensive environment

Full Sail University is very great university. If you have the right mindset going in and milk everyone you run into for the entire time you are here for everything and anything you can. You will be successful. That's just good life advice period though.

I had a good experience at Full Sail University. It is quite a different routine than a 4 year institution. I have degrees from both worlds. Go prepared to work hard and your eyes wide open. But it is a good place to learn. i like Full Sail University truly.
