Experience life as a traditional student with dedicated staff and access to Georgia Southern’s unique campus life.

Our division serves as the educational link between the university’s nationally recognized academic resources and the community in delivering life-long learning opportunities. We provide a variety of programs designed to improve the skills of the workforce, enhance societal and cultural understanding, facilitate healthy lifestyles, and address personal development and enrichment needs.

Included within the division is the English Language Program (ELP), a non-credit bearing program. This program offers an active, student-centered approach to learning. Students of the English Language Program are immersed in the same hands-on learning environment as an enrolled student at Georgia Southern University. In addition to providing students and program participants with the opportunity to gain entry into Georgia Southern University’s credit-bearing classes, student participants learning through ELP can also apply these same skills to professional and personal growth. Our goal is to help participants who are a part of the English Language Program to engage in academic curriculum and activities that result in the pursuit of further education at Georgia Southern University and on-going life-learning opportunities.

Our mission at the Division of Continuing Education is to support Georgia Southern University’s commitment to extend the learning environment beyond the classroom, promoting life success. The education here is truly transformative, with dedicated staff who genuinely care about student success; I've seen my daughter flourish in ways I never imagined!

I'm 25 and had been in the military for 6 years, so I'm not really looking for "Greek Life". I knew exactly what I wanted to major in when I came to AASU and so far my courses have been great. All my teachers have been very helpful and many of them have been in their field for many years. I love the surrounding city and the smaller college setting.
