Wesleyan College is committed to women’s education and helping every student find a unique voice and purpose. As the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women and shaped by Methodist values, Wesleyan provides students an academically challenging and relevant liberal arts education. Our diverse, inclusive community encourages creativity, innovation, and leadership so all graduates are prepared to thrive in a complex world.

Our students are encouraged to consider a study abroad experience as part of their liberal arts education. These international programs are often life-changing, providing experiences and developing skills that are attractive to future employers.

Wesleyan's environment is the perfect place for high school grads to start their college career. Here, everything you do prepares you for your first job & your last. The Office of International Student Services is available to help with all international students’ needs, from maintaining legal status to transitioning to college life in America.

Wesleyan College is proud to offer resources and support to working women with goals to advance in their current career, begin a new one, or continue their education. Other programs include, non-degree, second degree, transient, and readmit.

Georgia’s dual enrollment program allows high school students to earn FREE college credit and meet high school graduation requirements simultaneously through full-time or part-time study. Wesleyan's accredited BSN program offers cohorts in the Fall and Spring. High school seniors are eligible for the Guaranteed Acceptance Program as first-years entering Wesleyan.

Wesleyan's Master of Education and Executive Master of Business Administration graduate programs are designed to fit the real-world needs of working professionals, both female and male. Throughout its history, Wesleyan College has enjoyed a strong relationship with international students and welcomes their applications. The Office of International Student Services is available to help with all international students’ needs, from maintaining legal status to transitioning to college life in America. All merit awards are renewable from year to year, provided the student is enrolled full time (12 or more semester hours) at Wesleyan and satisfies other stipulated conditions of her scholarship. Incoming students may not receive more than one merit award.

Once a student has been accepted to Wesleyan College, she will be contacted by an Admission Counselor who will send her an official invitation to compete in an interview process (by faculty/department) on Scholarship Day for up to full tuition scholarships. No student can apply for any one scholarship - their qualifications and interests indicated in their application/GPA/test scores will be matched with a scholarship and they will be contacted by Admissions, if they qualify.

The Academic Resource Center, or the ARC, assists students in achieving their desired academic goals. The ARC is useful for individual, group studying, computer & printer use, academic counseling, tutoring, & special topic seminars. In addition to living and studying with peers from all over the world, you are encouraged to consider a study abroad experience. Join the faculty on planned study-travel courses to places like China, Greece, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, The Netherlands, and South Korea!

One of the best things about Wesleyan is that we are a community within a community. Almost everything that a student needs can be found right here on campus. You can count on every kind of support, from academic to technical to medical to social. College faculty and staff are trained and available to help students with most of the support services needed. So, don't be afraid to ask for help. It's all right here!

With many liberal arts colleges facing pressure to demonstrate that they adequately prepare students for the job market, we have risen above competition to ensure superior career preparation & professional development for all students.

Liberal arts colleges teach students how to think for themselves, how to learn, and how to see things as a whole. A liberal arts education provides a student with general knowledge of many different subjects in order to gain a better working knowledge of the world, rather than focusing on and specializing in one specific area. This type of education can develop intellectual ability and prepare students for many fields in today’s workplace. A liberal arts background equips Wesleyan women with a unique perspective that makes them highly competitive for many professional opportunities, and quite successful at whatever they choose to do.

Society is changing. Our students are changing. The demand for career-based education is on the rise. Rhetoric would lead us to believe that the liberal arts are waning. However, research proves this assumption false. According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers’ Job Outlook Survey 2016, employers are seeking traditionally labeled “soft skills” in their hires’ resumes. These include what would be considered the hallmarks of a liberal arts education: leadership, teamwork ability, communication skills, and problem solving amongst others. In fact, it isn’t until #10 that technical skills make the list. In the same survey, employers were asked what attributes influenced hiring decisions the most.
