The Computer & Information Technology program at Purdue is *fantastic*. The program is certainly challenging (I graduated in Network Engineering Tech), but you learn a LOT about networking and system administration concepts with small class sizes. The faculty are very personable once you get to know them, and you can easily tell that they really want students to learn and be the best that they can be.

I transferred from Indiana University as a nutrition major to the nutrition program at Purdue at the end of my sophomore year. While IU is a nice school, Purdue is known to have a more rigorous nutrition program. I was afforded the opportunity to do research and work in a nutrition research lab and I feel that I got what I wanted post-graduation because of the resources and opportunities available at Purdue.

I feel lucky to attend Purdue! I love this school and I am thankful every day that I chose to come here. There are so many traditions and many opportunities to get involved on campus. There are also many resources for academic success. If you are falling behind in class or not making friends then you are simply not taking advantage of all the university has to offer. Boiler Gold Rush is one of the best new student orientation programs to exist in the nation and makes the adjustment to Purdue fun and worry-free.

I am a fourth year student studying English from Indiana and I never want to leave. People here are friendly, campus is nice, there is always so much going on, and I feel like I am getting an excellent education. I recommend getting involved in student organizations, especially if you are shy as it is a really big school. I went Greek at Purdue and it is probably the best decision I have ever made. I have made lifelong friendships with people I probably would have never met otherwise. I would recommend Purdue to just about anyone; it is a very diverse school where everyone can find their niche. As you can see, I want to stay here forever.

Purdue University set me up for a positive and successful launch into the professional world. I obtained a very solid and unmatched education, paired with mentoring that can only come from the individuals at Purdue University. The number of ways to get involved is unmatched. Going to college is not a question of if you should go - you should. You learn a lot about yourself in a comfortable environment that prepares your for real world situations. High schools come prepared that your colleges courses will be more demanding then your high school classes. Study hard, ask questions, and don't be afraid to utilize your professor. Professors help those who help themselves -so approach your professor and ask for help!

I graduated with a BS in Hospitality with a high C GPA, not a star student. The great thing about Purdue is that I have had the opportunity to work for 3 Fortune 500 companies, none in the hospitality industry,and rise to Upper Management on hard work and Purdue's name recognition. A school the size of Purdue has a huge alumni base that can only benefit when your looking for a career. Purdue's name will get you in the front door, after that Purdue's education should keep you in the door.

Purdue is without a doubt a great university. Purdue's Krannert School of Management is beginning to get visibility with prospective students as a school of repute; this goes a long way in enabling Purdue to effectively compete for quality students in Indiana as well as nationally in more areas than just engineering. Krannert is a great school, but it needs to strenghten its Accounting, Marketting and MIS coursework and must be in a position to provide students with a realistic preview of what graduates with those degrees can expect once they enter industry.
