Emmaus Bible College is a good college. However, I do feel they have avoided some pretty major issues in and hide behind the "Bible school" curtain. Besides that, I did learn a ton about the Bible and applied it in many ways.

Faculty, students, and staff are generally very friendly. Everyone knows each other and good friendships are developed. I spent a great deal of time with the teachers outside of class as well as the usual class time. This included quite a bit of time in their homes as well. The Emmaus Bible College is located in a safe town and has security during the evening and night.

I transferred to Emmaus Bible College after trying to succeed at a different school where I felt like I was just another face in the crowd. Although it's not perfect, as no place is, Emmaus must be credited with helping me become who I am (as cheesy as that sounds). You are required to become involved through service to others and that opens everything else up. I am in the teacher education program and feel it is one of the top programs in the state-we are over-prepared to teach by the time we get to student teaching. The faculty are personable and welcome you into their offices, their lives, and the classes-they value your opinion. Yes, it is small, at the current enrollment of 300, but you know most everyone so your opinion counts. Dubuque is a great city to go to college in. It's not huge, but has most everything. I am now a senior and wouldn't have gone anywhere else, and I feel I'm prepared for a career and the real world.
