With a 13 to 1 student to faculty ratio, small class sizes and one-on-one time with faculty members mean every student can thrive.Brescia University was founded by the Ursuline Sisters of Mount Saint Joseph in 1925 as the Mount Saint Joseph Junior College for Women, established at Maple Mount, Kentucky. After the end of WWII, the need for coeducational extension courses in Owensboro was evident. At the bequest of city leaders, the Ursuline sisters were called to the creation of a second campus in downtown Owensboro. The two campuses were consolidated on the present site of Brescia University in 1950.

At Brescia University in Kentucky, the blend of dedicated staff and an inspiring curriculum has truly transformed my child's passion for learning into tangible progress.

Brescia is a small campus, has a small student body, but is an excellent place to go to school. The faculty and staff truly care about you, and continue caring even after graduation. A small student body has both positive and negative aspects, and you will experience both. The positives far outweigh the negatives. I received a top level education.
