Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
Follow your dreams. Don't chase the highest paying jobs, chase the ones that fulfill you. Many of my fellow graduates made more than me fresh out of college, but over time my salary trended upward. I have made Hundreds of thousands a year in government construction over the last 20 years. Many times I did value-enginneering that put dollars in my pocket and gave my client a better value than they expected. All of this using knowledge I gained from my civil engineering education at MSU. Also noted: I had no trouble passing the EIT and PE exams...it was exactly the things we learned. And I was not a rock star, just an average student. So, go for it, and follow your dreams.

Currently a Junior at Mississippi State, and I love it! My major is accounting, the professors are helpful and accessible outside of class, and my advisors are top-notch. Several of the staff are also CPA's or involved in the field in a similar way. The parking isn't that great, but it's (as always) a work in progress. The games are not to be missed.

Best college in the SEC in my opinion, if you factor in value, education, extracurricular, etc. Just the right size; not massive like other schools (UF, Bama, UGA)

For the price of tuition, the education is hearty, focused, and well above par. That is not to say that there aren't easy majors. The size of the city is good enough for me (population of ~20,000). There are higher number of bars per capita than I have ever seen in a city of its size. Even coming from Memphis, the adjustment to Mississippi life was not hard. Professors overall are willing to help students and are approachable with exceptions of course. If they offered the master's degree that I am seeking, I would continue to study here at MSU. The Football atmosphere has become more exciting in recent years due to Dan Mullen, and football games (and cowbells) are a strong tradition. GO BULLDOGS!!!

MSU is a great school to attend with lots of courses to take. Faculty and staff are very easy going and very friendly. There are plenty activities and clubs on campus to be apart of but the fraternities and sororities do the most. The town is not big at all with little shopping. If you are into small concerts, hey have plenty. They have country bands such as Crossing Dixin, rock bands like Saliva, Drowning Pool and Sister Hazel all came as well as rappers, kid rock and snoop dog all came. I recommend this school to anybody who wants a big school with a small school feel.

State is a great school with very friendly laid back students and very open and friendly faculty and staff. The only reason i would choose to attend a different school is because A) my major and B) ive lived here my entire life and would like to be out of state. MSU is very well rounded and is not a school that people are stuck up at no matter where your at you will see somebody you know even though there are some 17,050 odd students. Its a great place to be and classes are normally made fun by the professors.
