Welcome to Calvary University. We are an accredited college, graduate school, and seminary, offering degree programs on campus and online in Bible and theology, ministry studies, biblical counseling, intercultural studies, education, theatre arts, music, business administration, and professional directed studies.

Calvary is located centrally in the Midwest, less than thirty minutes from downtown Kansas City, Missouri, and we also offer courses online wherever you are located. Our mission is “…to prepare Christians to live and serve in the church and in the world according to a biblical worldview…” The Bible is foundational in every class we offer, and we aren’t simply integrating the Bible into our classes, rather we recognize the biblical basis for any discipline we teach. Calvary University is an independent, nondenominational institution, providing undergraduate and graduate education which prepares Christians to live and serve in the church and the world according to the biblical worldview.This is accomplished by providing appropriate educational curricula and a climate that fosters the development of intellectual and spiritual maturity, leadership potential, servanthood, and a sense of mission.

This results in an education that not only provides the quality degree credentials needed, but more importantly prepares graduates to live and serve in a variety of ministry and vocational settings.

Calvary’s Institutional Research Office provides guidance in institutionalassessment, to develop institutional data to aid in the assessment process and centralize responses to external surveys. The office develops and maintains a comprehensive program of educational research and institutional self-study to provide information supportive of enrollment management, student outcomes assessment, institutional effectiveness and student and staff retention.

Information is derived from institutional surveys, graduating student surveys and surveys of Calvary alumni. In conjunction with the Outcomes and Assessment Committee, theInstitutional Research Office generates an annual Assessment Report, a Fact Book, updated assessment plans and provides data to governmental and commercial services requiring statistical information.

Calvary University offers an Early College option, either on campus or online, for high schoolers to earn college credit while in high school. High school students can study onsite at Calvary University’s Kansas City campus, or online through Calvary’s Online campus. Calvary’s Early College program helps high school students fast-track their early college at a fraction of the cost of normal tuition.

Dual Enrollment Early College allows home school students, Christian school students, and others the opportunity to earn college credit while meeting high school graduation requirements (the high school the student attends determines what high school credit will be granted for dual enrollment).

Calvary University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and professionally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Association for Biblical Higher Education. Courses taken at Calvary University are easily transferred to any institution of higher learning, as well as used to meet graduation requirements at Calvary University.

Students are encouraged to seek guidance and advice from trusted faculty and staff members.Faculty and staff have a wide variety of backgrounds and experience and are happy to share their wisdom and guidance with students.Students may seek formal counseling with either Student Services staff or with Student Services’ licensed counselors.There are no fees attached to counseling with the Student Services. For licensed counselors, the initial session is at no cost to the student, but students may be charged for following sessions at the discretion of the counselor.

All counseling from Student Services will be biblical with the goal of the individual being changed into the image of Christ. We believe that in Christ we have everything we need for life and godliness and rely heavily upon this in counseling. We believe the Word of God is sufficient to meet the needs of mankind for salvation and sanctification.
