The Honor Code is written and governed solely by students. It is an important example of the ways in which students determine the course of their Haverford experience.Students here are uncommonly engaged in the life of the community: In addition to governing the honor code, students serve on hiring committees, manage budgets, and run more than 140 clubs and organizations.

Haverford College is really an awesome place for students looking for a small liberal arts college and all of the positives and negatives that go along with it. That said, there are a lot of positives and I've found that they far outweigh the negatives. Small classes, friendly people, necessary attention, challenging academics vs. everyone knowing your business. Still seems pretty good to me.

Being a physics major at Haverford College, I think i am getting the best education. I am in waves and optics class (200 level physics); the level of mathematics we use in this course is comparable to graduate level (or adv undgraduate level. for example we are using hilbert space to analyse complicated coupled oscillation (then use fourier transform to analyse complicated wave packets). this mathematical tools that we are being introduced is so strong that i have even managed to read some string theory.(and its just my first year at Haverford College.

Haverford College has an illustrous history and a promising future. The promising future, however, is contingent on the administration recognizing the unique Haverfordian culture evident amongst the student body and faculty. The current administration, especially President Tom Tritton, appears too willing to embrace its national meritocracy status and the importance of the US News report - as a result, distinctive features of our amazing college are being swept out from under the feet the student body and faculty. That said, the student body and faculty are incredible people. Intelligent and virtous, ambitious and humble. The social scene is great. My only concern, beyond the one raised above regarding recent administrative actions, is that the faculty and student body have a tendency to become absorbed in a sort of ivory-tower intellectualism - something I had hoped Haverford College would be immune to.

The faculty are amazing at Haverford College, and I felt intellectually challenged as a student. The emphasis on critical thinking prepared me to succeed in the "real world." I loved my time at Haverford, and if I had the opportunity to go back- I'd do it in a heart beat.

Haverford College is a wonderful school that challenges students on many levels. You grow a lot here, and will be very well prepared for life after college. I don't think that any other school could have had such a positive impact.
