The College has a very low incidence of crimes reportable under the Clery Act.

We also survey our community members. In 2016 the College was one of 34 institutions to take part in the Education Advisory Board Survey of Unwanted Sexual Experiences, a national research forum’s assessment of students’ perceptions about the climate on campus. While our data compare favorably with that of the survey cohort, any sexual harassment involving our community is unacceptable.

In response, we are reviewing nondiscrimination policies, updating procedures and implementing training sessions across the institution. Know that violating our policies has consequences. But also know that the College has leaders with the expertise and resources to help survivors and bystanders. We strongly encourage the prompt reporting of discrimination, harassment and crime to local law enforcement or a College advisor.

The Office of Strategic and Institutional Planning focuses on the coordination and preparation of the institutional strategic plan, planning processes, organizational performance improvement, integration across the College, and alignment of planning functions throughout the College.

Baylor College of Medicine is a member of the AAMC, and we work closely with this organization on a variety of Congressional issues to have a strong and unified voice in Washington. Earlier this month the AAMC issued a statement on DACA regarding their plans to work with Congress to pass a permanent solution. We support their efforts on behalf of the nation’s medical schools.
