Its campuses in Denton, Dallas and Houston are joined by an e-learning campus offering innovative online degree programs in business, education and general studies.

Texas Woman’s University cultivates engaged leaders and global citizens by leveraging its historical strengths in health, liberal arts, and education and its standing as the nation’s largest public university primarily for women.

Committed to transformational learning, discovery, and service in an inclusive environment that embraces diversity, Texas Woman’s inspires excellence and a pioneering spirit. Texas Woman’s will be known as the premier public university for a woman-focused education and leadership development, graduating thriving citizens who have a strong sense of community, health, prosperity, and a sense of purpose.

At Texas Woman’s University, we are committed to providing you with the tools you need for success in your career. At TWU, you will learn from and work with faculty members who pursue leading research in their fields. Smaller class sizes mean you get more opportunities for one-on-one time with your instructors.

Whether you’re conducting research, performing on stage, running a business or taking care of others, TWU’s programs are the tools you need to build your career. TWU’s main campus in Denton, is just 40 miles from the vibrant Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Campuses in Dallas and Houston are located in the heart of world-class medical centers. Although TWU has the look and feel of a private university it is the most affordable public university in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex for total cost.

The quest for knowledge - the need to discover - has always moved pioneers forward. At TWU, students and faculty conduct research that addresses important issues facing today's society in areas related to health, education and quality of life.

All visa holders with foreign nationality, asylees, refugees, TPS and those pending U.S. permanent residency. Today's pioneers set out to explore new territory, whether they're the first in family to go to college, conducting research that could lead to a cure for diseases, or looking for ways to make the world a better place.

Lead. Climb. Explore. Dance. Volunteer. This is the place to learn by doing. Because what happens outside the classroom at Texas Woman’s University can be just as important as what happens inside it. Step outside your comfort zone and discover a talent you never knew you had or a passion you might have overlooked. This is the time to be a Pioneer. Try something new and, in the process, be transformed. Through our activities and organizations; leadership opportunities and community service; and, a dedicated network of support services, you’ll grow to embrace diversity and learn to engage the world around you.

The student experience at Texas Woman’s University encompasses so much more than academics. The student services we provide ensure it’s one that is both personally and educationally rewarding. There’s a connection between your academic life at TWU and a career that fulfills you and sets you on a path to success, and we want to help you make it. Working with the students and alumni of our three campuses, we provide a number of programs to educate, develop, and assist you in meeting the challenges of an ever-changing world of work.

Commuting to campus can come with its own advantages and challenges. Use the Campus Alliance for Resource Education (CARE) to find out where to park or how get a parking pass and discover ways to connect with similar students, such as other parents, other veterans, or other foster-care alumni.

Whether you’re worried about balancing work and school, feeling anxious and nervous, or concerned about a friend or family member, our professional counselors and psychologists can be there to help. TWU Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) serves students at all three campus locations to foster student success and personal growth in a safe environment.

We’re committed to providing equal access to educational opportunities and through Disability Services for Students (DSS) can make appropriate accommodations for students in the classroom. Our students are bold, community-driven intellectuals able to meet the challenges we set before them. Life here doesn’t stand still. Pioneers take advantage of every opportunity to build an active and dynamic student body at all three campus locations.

Movies, concerts, guest speakers, and other events like Market Tuesday and “TWU’s Got Talent” are the norm for a university with more than 140 sanctioned student organizations. These groups represent departments, Greek councils, identity-based cultural groups, and more.

All three of our campus locations feature fitness centers with locker rooms, cardio equipment, and free weights. In Denton, can you scale a climbing wall, swim laps in our indoor pool, or tee off on our 18-hole golf course. Fitness and Recreation facilities, along with most programs, are free to all TWU students.
