Southwestern University is an independent, four-year, undergraduate college comprised of the Brown College of Arts and Sciences and the Sarofim School of Fine Arts. We are proud to have chapters of the Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Chi honor societies and the Omicron Delta Kappa national leadership honor society.

Ours is a history of firsts. We are the first institution of higher education in Texas, home to the first Rhodes Scholar in Texas, and the originator of the very first homecoming celebration.
