Established in 1986, Makassed University of Beirut is a private higher education institution located in the large city of Beirut (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministère de l'Education et de l Enseignement superieur, Liban (English: Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Lebanon), Makassed University of Beirut (MU) is a coeducational higher education institution.
Makassed University of Beirut (MU) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 30 years old HE institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. MU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
