Movement and Voice – Your body in time and space
About
Creating an awareness of your body and voice is a fundamental factor in the lives and success of many prominent professional people. Actors of stage, Screen, Broadcasters, Politicians, Business leaders, Teachers for example use their voices consciously and deliberately to inform, persuade or entertain us.
What many of us don’t realise is that many of these people have worked very hard to master skills and techniques in voice production. You too can familiarise yourself with these techniques and learn how to use your voice to best effect, even if it is to build confidence.
Dig into key areas such as articulation, rhythm, and resonance to enrich vocal performance.
This course is a basic introduction to voice production and correct alignment for your body. It explains the processes involved in speech and how we can use the speaking voice to best effect whilst taking care of this most valuable asset. This course will be practical so be prepared to move your body and connect.
What will it cover?
This short course will explore fundamental voice techniques including breath support, how to warm up your body and voice and to create an awareness of control through practical work and play.
