Engineer – System Developer

Job Summary

• To ensure Database modifications in SCADA systems are carried out effectively, Graphic modifications, Addition of custom routines and addition of functionality in OASYS DNA SCADA Application, Coordinating with system administrator in maintaining system database, maintaining system excel reports and development.
• Historical records backup and retrieval application and database maintenance of NWCC as well as to initiate independent actions as far as possible.
• To create routines for database modification for creation and addition of new signals for interfacing stations with NWCC. Modification of existing signals.
• To create new routines and modify existing modules to customize SCADA data reports.
• Customize existing User Interface Displays and add new Displays and UI features as per the end users (Operators / Supervisors / Control Engineer) requirement. To create scripts for auto distribution of graphics to various workstations in the network.
• To be able to develop scripts using Visual Basic and C++ to make system level changes in the SCADA software.
• To create scripts (Shell / Perl) in order to automate administrative tasks. SCADA Real Time and historical database management.

Requirements

• Good programming skills in C++, Perl and Visual Basic.
• MS SQL server administration skills
• Auto CAD ability is an advantage.
• Good command over spoken and written English
