Summary of ADEK Inspection

The overall performance of the school is acceptable. Students’ attainment and progress is acceptable in all phases. Children’s achievement is good in Islamic education and English in KG. Good achievement is seen in Arabic in High phase. The quality of teaching is acceptable overall. School leaders have addressed most areas for improvement outlined in the previous inspection but self-evaluation is not always accurate because they have not fully aligned their self-evaluation form (SEF) with criteria outlined in the national framework.

School’s strengths

• Students’ understanding of the role of Islam in influencing UAE heritage and modern society.
• Students’ achievement in Islamic education and English in KG and in Arabic in high, and their creative work in innovation clubs.
• Students’ behaviour, attitudes and relationships, attendance and punctuality.
• The prompt actions taken by school leaders to address weaknesses identified at the previous inspection.
