BSB is a happy and exciting place to learn and work, where student-teacher relationships are outstanding and mutually respectful. Since its establishment in 1995, the school has grown considerably. We are now a large international school, welcoming myriad nationalities from across the globe.
At the BSB, we believe in placing the student at the center of their own education and that learning is a life-long experience. We empower and expect our students to strive for excellence, take on responsibility for their own learning and express and celebrate their individuality, hence our school Vision: Excellence, Responsibility, Individuality.
As an international school located in Bahrain, we value and celebrate the rich diversity of the many nationalities, religions, cultures and traditions of all our students and we aim to provide a safe, inclusive and caring environment in which young people can learn to live and work together in a spirit of harmony and mutual respect. We encourage each student to play an active role in school life, both in and out of the classroom.
We follow an English National Curriculum model, which is suitably adapted for the international context of our location and for the 70+ nationalities of our school. In 2020, BSB will be celebrating 25 years of growth and excellence in British education and is proud to be fully accredited by the Confederation of British International Schools (COBIS). Our school is consistently rated Outstanding by the Bahrain Quality Insurance Inspectorate.
BSB is a proud member of Inspired, a leading global premium schools group operating in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America educating over 38,000 students across a global network of 51 schools.
Our mission is to develop well-balanced successful learners who will be equipped to become citizens of the world. With teacher and parental guidance, BSB students will be resourceful, versatile, digitally literate, confident and principled problem-solving thinkers.
The BSB provides an excellent educational programme for children who fall within the mainstream spectrum. Within this spectrum, we recognise that every child has his or her own particular learning profile and range of talents and abilities and we endeavour to meet a wide range of individual learning needs in the delivery of our curriculum through a variety of differentiation strategies.
We require a good level of English proficiency for admission to the BSB and we do not currently provide any programmes to teach students for whom English is an additional language who are at an early stage of acquiring English.

We could not ask for a better school than this for our daughter to attend. The staff, administrators, teachers and the parent support is amazing! Our daughter is positively challenged, nurtured and taught creative thinking every day, and she is in preschool! We are very fortunate & thankful that she can attend this school!

If you're looking for the best school in Bahrain, i would argue that it doesnt get any better than the British School of Bahrain and we've been to many. We did our research and decided to visit BSB for a tour. Relative to other schools in the area, i must say, the initial impression was incredible. We were walked through the school, met with teachers and enjoyed the experience. Our son loves going to school and has a fun learning experience!
