We are a leading British Nursery in the heart of the city, conveniently located near the corner of Delma St and Karama St, in Abu Dhabi. We pride ourselves in providing high quality, flexible childcare for babies and children from 45 days old to 5 years. At Jigsaw, we take a child-centered approach to learning.
We follow the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and base our topics and activities, where possible, on children’s own experiences encouraging them towards independent thinking and an appreciation of diversity. We focus on the development of the whole child with the aim of producing confident, creative and socially capable children who are able to follow routines and guidelines at the same time as making choices for themselves. We plan an exciting and challenging curriculum based on our observation of a child’s needs, interests and stages of development across the seven areas of learning to enable the child to achieve and exceed the early learning goals. All the seven areas of learning and development are important. The three prime areas are: Communication is at the heart of developing young children's learning. At Jigsaw Nursery, children experience a rich language environment to develop their confidence and skills in expressing themselves. Children are given opportunities daily to listen and speak in a range of situations and develop key skills for learning at school. This takes place during circle time each morning and everyday activities. At Jigsaw, we follow the Jolly phonics program, and children are taught one letter a week, reviewed weekly by the class teacher and shared with parents in order to extend the child's learning.
Jigsaw Nursery helps children to make sense of their physical world and community by providing opportunities to explore, observe and find out about people, places, and the environment around them. Children have a natural interest in finding out how things work and creating their own models. At Jigsaw Nursery children can explore sand and water, use the watering cans to water the vegetables in our vegetable patch and make mud pies in our mud kitchen. Children also have the opportunity to go on supervised Educational trips outside of the Nursery which we link in with our monthly topic to further extend the children's learning.
As a nursery we are committed to the integration of children with additional needs and welcome them into our nursery environment. As part of this integration, we also ensure children themselves practice inclusion by treating one another with respect and by participating in activities together. We believe that children with additional needs are entitled to the same opportunities as other children in the nursery and our specially trained staff ensure they are given them, alongside other positive experiences to ensure children reach their full potential.As a nursery we are committed to the integration of children with additional needs and welcome them into our nursery environment. My son has really enjoyed his time at the Jigsaw nursery, making many friends and learning and growing in a safe, secure and fun environment. He has been at the nursery since he was seven months old and I feel the nursery has been integral to his physical, social and mental development.
I have always found the staff to be friendly, flexible and responsive to any concerns I have had, and I appreciate the feedback we get on a continuous basis. I appreciate the emphasis on education and preparing him for school, encouraging him with numeracy, literacy and writing, all of which are coming on in leaps and bounds, and spending time reading with him which he really enjoys.

As my first experience of using childcare I was very nervous, Jigsaw Nursery encouraged me to spend as much time as needed with my child which really helps you to get to know the staff and gives you a feel of the nursery, my girl has settled well now & I'm pleased with my choice. The focus on outdoor activities is brilliant. Not a single bad word.

JIGSAW is definitely the best nursery in Abu Dhabi. The teachers and assistants are very dedicated with excellent and friendly office staff.
They have the largest outdoor play area from all the nurseries by far lots of indoor play, pretend play, dress up play, gym, dance, singing, swimming, and even French classes!
Each class has its own program daily, with variety of things to do, indoor and outdoors, so the kids don’t get bored. I started off my 1st child there when he was 17 months old, and now he is just over 2yrs old, and he operates an iPad by himself, is more social than ever, and I can’t drag him away from there at the end of the day.
