Zayed University (ZU; Arabic: جامعة زايد) is a public university based in the United Arab Emirates. It was established in 1998.[1] It is one of the three government-sponsored higher education institutions in the United Arab Emirates. It is named in honor of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the country's first president.[1]
Achieving accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education in the US, it became the first federal university in the UAE to be internationally accredited.[2] ZU offers 17 majors and 10 minors at undergraduate level and 10 master's degree.[3] The university has eight colleges: College of Arts and Creative Enterprises, College of Business, College of Communication and Media Sciences, College of Education, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Natural and Health Sciences, College of Technological Innovation, and University College.[3]

One of the best federal government academic institutions in the UAE. Vast campus with several colleges that offer different disciplines mostly liberal arts, business and IT. Access is restricted to students, faculty and staff.

Zayed University is a university in the United Arab Emirates that was established in 1998. The university is headed by Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi. Zayed University includes more than 10,000 students, both male and female, within two campuses of the university in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. Zayed University has two branches: a Zayed University branch in Abu Dhabi and a Zayed University branch in Dubai. Starting from the year 2009-2010, male and female students from Arab and Gulf countries were accepted. Zayed University graduates are expected to be proficient in Arabic and English, be proficient in using computers, and possess high research skills. Therefore, an academic program model has been developed that focuses on educational outcomes, and integrated them into the educational curriculum from beginning to end.

What a privilege it was to be able to attend college at Zayed University! From the moment I first set foot on the main campus for a guided tour, I was enchanted by the fresh air and spiritual vibe of the place. In addition to the atmosphere, what really attracted me to ZU at Academic City was the emphasis placed on teaching undergraduates. Sitting in on classes (during an open house and during the regular school year), I was impressed by how much the professors had a passion for teaching their area(s) of expertise--a truly defining characteristic over other universities in the Gulf region.
