JBS is an IB World School offering all four IB programmes. As an IB continuum school, we offer the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Career-Related Programme (CP) and the Diploma Programme (DP) for students from pre-KG until Grade 12.
In 2018, we introduced Character Education to further strengthen the IB educational philosophy. In November 2020, JBS obtained the Quality Mark Award by the Association of Character Education as the first school outside the UK. Character Education teaches the acquisition and strengthening of positive character traits (or virtues) which are necessary to achieve the highest potential in life. The development of ‘good character’ is fundamental to a well-rounded life and a thriving society. Therefore, flourishing is the ultimate aim of Character Education.
As of September 2022, JBS became a member of KiVa, which is an antibullying program developed by the University of Turku in Finland to further support our efforts to develop positive relationships in our students and provide a safe and positive school climate. This program will be taught as of September 2023.

JBS is a fully authorized IB continuum school; is accredited by the Council of International Schools; is awarded the Quality Mark by the Association for Character Education; and offers Pearson BTEC courses.
The ultimate aim of education is to prepare students for a well-rounded life so they can truly flourish and positively contribute to society. Our approach to promote wellbeing is to develop positive character traits in our students. We do this through the IB Approaches to Learning skills, the IB learner profile traits and our own 4 R’s (respect, responsibility, resilience, and resourcefulness) which are all taught inside and outside lessons. Our staff are also expected to model positive character traits so good character is caught. Furthermore, our service learning programs, extra-curricular activities, field trips, (overseas) camps, fixtures, and student leadership offerings all aim to develop and strengthen positive character traits that are necessary to achieve the highest potential in life.
We believe that our wellbeing approach is successful as our IB Diploma and Career-related Program graduates have obtained IB results which are well above global average. Moreover, as a school of inclusion we are proud of our outstanding pass rate year after year. Our students have been accepted at universities all over the world and many hold jobs which did not even exist a few years ago.
Our school also has some unique aspects (USP’S) Including a well-developed French A program for native speakers allowing them to follow a Language and Literature course In line with their home curriculum; a strong commitment to Arabic language learners with a highly celebrated program Incorporating the IB and the MOE curriculums and an Inclusive education program for student unable to access main stream school.

It’s our second year in JBS and I couldn’t recommend more. The sense of community is amazing, the teachers (and staff) are really committed, and the facilities are great (pool, paddle courts, tennis courts, football field, cafeteria, big librairy…). I really like the IB curriculum which is child centered, creative, and teaches them how to come to an answer by themselves. My daughter is learning without even knowing. We really feel as part as a JBS family.

The school location is very good the team are amazing from reception to admission, I visited the school and they was so honest and professional explaining all the needs , the security and safety in the school high and this make me happy, the management and academic team was so helpful to assist with full information,

I have visit the school and Ms Duha she was helpful and nice to deal with her,She explained us the necessary what we need to understand .I have register with them 2 of my Child’s and planing to find a place for the 3rd one grade 5 ASAP
