JBS is an International Baccalaureate World School. It is fully authorised to offer the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP); the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP); the Diploma Programme (DP); and the IB Career-related Programme (IBCP) for students from Pre-KG to Grade 12. Applying to JBS is a simple three-step process.
01: Online Application
All applications are digital and submitted online through our website. We have no paper applications.
In the application, you will be asked for some general information about your child and contact details, and you will be asked to upload some preliminary documents to complete the application.
You can expect to receive a confirmation that we have received and reviewed your application within one to four business days.
However, depending on when you apply, we will only proceed to Step 2 when we know of a possible opening. Additionally, to proceed to the documentation stage you will be required to pay a non-refundable application fee of 525AED.
02: Documentation
Once you have paid the non-refundable application fee of 525AED, you will be required to submit the below documents.
Please note: Failure to fully disclose information about a child’s additional learning needs, may put your child’s place in school at risk.
Please be prepared to submit the following documents prior to attending your assessment appointment:
Child’s passport, residence visa, Emirates ID and birth certificate
Parents’ passports, residence visas and Emirates ID
Recent medical copy of child’s/children’s vaccination card
Most recent school report
Diagnostic testing or educational assessment (if applicable)
Any psychological assessments (if applicable)
Please scan the required documents and email them in advance to admissionsadmin@jbschool.ae
03: Assessment
If places are available you will receive an invitation to submit further information and/or schedule an assessment.
We will contact you with a date and time for your child’s assessment, which will be conducted by the Admissions Office and the JBS faculty. After the assessment and upon receiving an acceptance letter, a deposit fee is required to reserve your seat. A seat cannot be held until the deposit payment is received. We will advise the amount in the acceptance letter.
Acceptance to Jumeira Baccalaureate School is dependent upon the results of the placement assessment, student interview (if needed) and former school reports.
You are always welcome to contact us at admissionsadmin@jbschool.ae if you have any questions.
