Job Summary
To assist Vice President – Financial Control, Planning and Analysis in various activities related to Regulatory & Reporting, Development of MIS and liaison with Finance personnel of various subsidiaries within the geographical scope for collating necessary information and coordinating with auditors.

Business Analysis

  • Continually source “best practice” and international benchmark for key hypothesis.
  • Prepare Business Analysis for the company (as per company deadlines)
  • Analyze and interpret data and present to management for decision making.
  • Liaise with Information Technology Department for setting up appropriate systems.
  • Project manage the budget process and re-forecasting exercise.

Cost Control

  • Prepare survey aiming at better cost optimization & lean operations (as per company deadlines.
  • After validation by the Steering Committee, project manage and drive the improvement into HO & Schools level in terms of cost, procurement etc.

Quality Management

  • Set and Manage SLA between within finance departments and between finance departments & other company departments.
  • Harmonize and continually Finance policies across Finance department (in line with DOA)

Required Skills

  • Either a Chartered Accountant (CPA, ACCA, CA) or a business degree from a credible business school
  • Desirable an additional degree in CIMA or CFA
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in business analysis and cost control in a large retail / FMCG company
  • Preferably worked for at least one Management Consulting company.
  • Excellent Communication Skills (written & oral)
  • Presentation Skills, MS Office (strong Excel skills)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review variances, understand business cycles and their impact on operations.
  • Arabic speaking desirable
  • Business studies and benchmark experience
  • ERP, Data Warehousing & Business Intelligence Software application knowledge
