Job Summary
The Physical Sciences department is seeking a lecturer to instruct in physics and engineering for a possible 3 year limited term contract.
The successful candidate will teach first-year algebra-based introductory physics, first and second-year level engineering lecture and project courses, including engineering measurements, electrical properties of materials, and introductory electrical and computer engineering design.
Projected position workload for the academic year:
FALL semester
PHYS 1100 – Fundamentals of Physics 1 (lecture) 1 unit
EPHY 1150 – Physics for Engineers 1 (3 seminars) 3 x 0.33 unit
EPHY 2200 – Electrical Properties of Materials (lecture and seminar) 1.33 units
WINTER semester
EPHY 1990 – Introduction to Engineering Measurements (lecture) 1 unit
EPHY 1990 (3 seminars) 3 x 0.33 unit
EPHY 2990 – Introduction to ECE Design (lecture) 1 unit
EPHY 2990 (1 laboratory) 1 unit
