Nursery Manager

Job Summary

The Nursery Manager is the educational, operational and cultural leader of the setting. She is responsible for the day to day running of the nursery, the long term growth and development of the business as well as the quality of the educational and developmental outcomes for children. She works in partnership with others to reflect, analyze progress and ensure a quality standard is achieved.

Responsibilities

• Creating a safe and stimulating environment to promote learning
• Updating parents and carers on children’s progress
• Working with colleagues to meet children’s needs
• Checking equipment is in good condition

• The ability to motivate and support staff
• Problem-solving skills
• The ability to use your own judgement to make decisions
• Organizational skills

Experience

• 2 years’ work experience with children in a nursery setting
• Experience of supervising or managing staff
