Our school is a successful and happy Church of England primary school where children are supported to become confident and independent young people, who thrive on challenge, and are motivated to learn. From Reception to Year 6, the children are at the centre of all we do and achieve. We are ambitious for our pupils and their academic achievement, encouraging high expectations and aspirations for children and adults alike. Each school has its own distinctive ‘feel’ which makes each one unique. Caring Christian values are central to the ethos of Christ Church Primary School, where each child is known and encouraged as an individual and a unique gift from God able to enjoy ‘life in all its fullness’. We believe in developing independent and resilient learners with a positive growth mindset. Staff, supported by governors, work hard to deliver a rich and challenging curriculum; to prepare children for their future education Our skilled and dedicated staff endeavour to maximise each child’s potential, by providing a wide range of educational experiences and opportunities to help them develop spiritually, socially and morally as well as academically. We live in a global society and to be successful our learners need to have a clear understanding of what respect, tolerance and diversity means. The school actively promotes British Values and recognise their place in our own expectations and vision.

We place great emphasis on academic achievement, the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of each child, and we expect high standards of behaviour and appearance. We aim to develop independence in both work and judgement. We want every child to be able to work well with other, showing social skills of co-operation and leadership and to be motivated to develop from a wide range of experiences.

At Christ Church we believe it is vital that children learn to serve God and one another. It is not only what we are taught but how we are taught; children learn and grow in understanding as much from our attitudes, our behaviour, our caring for each other and our own commitment to God. We must ensure that this is evident in our relationships with each other.
