SINARMAS WORLD ACADEMY (SWA) provides an international education experience from Toddler to Grade 12, that aims to achieve Academic Excellence. SWA opened in July 2008 and the first cohort of Grade 12 students graduated in June 2012. SWA prepares each student for a lifetime of academic success through the development of adaptable 21st century approaches to learning.

SWA offers an engaging Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum from the UK that develops students physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially. Starting from Kindergarten 2 to Grade 5, SWA incorporates the Cambridge Curriculum within a framework that promotes an inquiry-based approach to learning. SWA has built exclusive partnerships and exchange programmes with Peking University Elementary School and other institutions in Korea and Japan.

In Grades 6 to 10, SWA integrates the curriculum content from Cambridge Assessment International Educations (CAIE) within the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) framework, according to national requirements and to the school’s Asian cultural identity.

In order to better prepare students for intended career pathways and entry to IB Diploma Programme (DP) course selections, SWA has developed a Business, Engineering, Science & Technology (BEST) ‘streaming’ programme starting in Grade 9. SWA has pioneered the BEST pathways to enable students to study subjects that suit their interests and long-term career goals.

SWA graduates complete the IB Diploma Programme, a rigorous two-year pre-university course of studies that prepares them for success in reputable universities worldwide and to lead purposeful and rewarding lives in society.

SWA is a world-class school not only in terms of curriculum and methods but also with state of the art technology and facilities. Wireless mobile technology provides flexibility in incorporating ICT as a core literacy and as an integral tool in learning, creativity and communicating.

SWA delivers the globally recognised curricula of the Early Years Foundation Stage, Cambridge Assessment International Education and the International Baccalaureate along with the National Curriculum to prepare the students for university life and beyond.

SWA students have received outstanding achievement awards in both curricular and non-curricular national and international competitions.

SWA provides world class facilities within a spacious green learning environment. Within the award winning campus, the school community has access to a concert theatre, swimming pools, a large sports field, two indoor gymnasiums, libraries catering for each school section, a variety of creative arts studios, design workshops, a food technology kitchen, computer labs, a school shop, numerous well equipped science labs, as well as several cafeterias and eating spaces.
