Job Summary

The Track Access Coordinator will work within a team focused on managing the coordination of civil, track works and electromechanical construction and installation to be completed by multiple entities of the Consortium. This is to ensure that the 3 lines of the Riyadh Metro Project being delivered by the Consortium is delivered safely, efficiently and with high quality. The team will consist of 6 action-oriented professionals providing this critical service. You will work to deliver enabling and associated works and liaise with numerous internal and external stakeholders, which will offer the successful candidate significant opportunity to implement a range of existing skills and develop further professionally. This position is for one of the most challenging railway programmes anywhere in the world and will appeal to someone seeking to advance their career in megaproject delivery.

  • Coordination and management of access arrangements to specific sites where more than one Organization is going to work (track sections, stations, station rooms, depots,secure rooms etc.), on behalf of the Consortium
  • Convert project/construction activities and high level plans into tangible access requirements • Assess access strategies, programme options and identify additional access opportunities and propose a cost and time effective way forward.
  • Support and advise the Construction teams by identifying safe working practices
  • Develop and deliver collaborative and innovative solutions to access and railway interface problems
  • Coordinate Working times and shift patterns
  • Receive access requests applications from the construction entities
  • Resolve conflicting access requests at first instance and escalate if required
  • Prepare, update and publish Weekly and Fortnightly Look Ahead documentation for Access Control
    Attend / Chair Access Planning and Coordination Meetings
    Assist the planning and scheduling of works and resources so as to optimise delivery

Skills:

  • Engineering grade not indispensable
  • Extensive experience in a railway management or project management environment
  • English: Fluent
  • Office user level
  • Ability to work in a time constrained environment and make effective, considered decisions – Ability to communicate across all levels – Effective stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence in decision making
  • Willing to work 60 hours per week (10 hours/day, 6 days/week).
  • Transfer iqama placed in Saudi any nationality
  • Candidates placed at origin country any nationality
