China University of Science and Technology

China University of Science and Technology (CUST) consists of four divisions：Day Division, Division of Continuing Education, Affiliated Institute of Continuing Education and Aviation Maintenance Education Center. We also now have 18 departments and 8 graduate schools.

The school consists of four colleges: College of Engineering, College of Commerce and Management, College of Health Science and Technology, and College of Aviation. The CUST has three campuses: Taipei Main Campus, Hsinchu Campus, and Yunlin Campus.

Educational Aims are Provide students with fulfilled education in technology & management fields. Fully develop students' potential for well-rounded learning. Help students carry out the school's motto. Honesty, Justice, Lawfulness, and Innovation.

Applying with professional and fundamental skills. Reinforcing with E-learning program and on-line teaching assistance. Offering students scholarships for the good performance. Providing opportunities for students-exchanging or abroad tour-study programs. Developing practical and vocation-related programs. Offering training courses for obtaining various certificates. The first Asian institute with the European Union's certification in aircraft maintenance. Exclusive authorization for the certificated examination from the Civil Aeronautics Administration. Approved by the Chinese Institute of Engineers for industrial academic cooperation.

College of Engineering. The College is organized into six academic departments and four graduate schools. The six departments are Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science and Information Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture, respectively. The four graduate schools are Electronic Engineering Graduate School, Optomechatronic Engineering Graduate School, Civil and Diaster Prevention Graduate School, and Graduate School of Architecture, respectively.

In the College of Health Science and Technology, that have established Department of Biological Science and Technology, Food Science, and Food and Beverage Management. The establishment of Institute of Health Technology was approved by Ministry of Education in 2008 and it started enrollment in 2009. The Department of Food and Beverage Management transferred from Hsinchu campus to Taipei campus, and reconstructed into the College of Health Science and Technology in 2010. The department is devoted into pursuing the value of health meaning. Since 2010, the Department of Biological Science and Technology has been divided two groups by Section of Biotechnology and Section of Cosmetic Biotechnology. We hope to cultivate more diversified experts.

College of Commerce and Management. The College consists of one graduate school and six departments, which are the Graduate School of Business Management, Department of Finance, Department of Business Administration, Department of International Business, and Department of Information Management, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, and Department of Digital Culture Creation and Multimedia.

The educational objectives of the College are as follows to provide students with comprehensive trainings in the field of management by integrating the existing business courses; to encourage students to pay attention to business ethics, particularly placing emphasis on the training in collaborative teamwork and taking responsibilities; to cultivate students'innovative ability in globalized and regionalized business operations for adaptation to rapidly changing competitive environments; to cultivate students'ability to practice and to integrate interdisciplinary interests in international perspectives in response to the change in emerging knowledge fields and technologies; to nurture students to be professionals in knowledge-intensive industries;to cultivate students' ability in critical thinking independently, along with keeping the balance between professional expertise and humanism quality.

The College of Aviation at China University of Science and Technology is the unique one specialized on aviation related education. The College of Aviation is organized into four academic departments and two graduate schools.

In our school, China University of Science and Technology (CUST), one of the most distinguishing characteristic is to nurture excellent personalsin aviation industry. The Collage of Aviation was established in response to the manpower demand of the aeronautical fields, and now is internationalized intensely.

Since 1998 the CUST have cooperated with Lufthansa Technical Training, a renowned civil aircraft maintenance company worldwide, to establish the Chinese Aviation School (CAS). In domestic, CAS is the only training school accredited and approved by European Aviation Safety Agency fitted in with EASA part-147 regulation. Therefore CUST is a merely university in Taiwanto train professional personals of aviation maintenance for international organize and has the excellent experience for many years. We, CUST Collage of Aviation, are proud that we have done a great of jobs in last years and will make considerable headway in aspects related to the aviation education.
