It reflects the unique character of ALS – we are an American curriculum school, but we maintain strong links with the local community and culture while at the same time being an international community of different nationalities.

We offer a strong academic program, including the Lebanese Baccalaureate Program (LP) and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IP). Our graduates progress to excellent universities around the world.

ALS emphasizes the importance of education being a collaborative exercise, involving the student, the teachers and the family. We work together with parents in helping each student maximize his or her potential, both academically and socially. We welcome parent involvement in the school and encourage continued communication.

We invite qualified applicants wishing to join our school to submit their credentials for review and consideration. Positions at ALS are much sought after. We receive many applications and, the selection process is very competitive. Our recruitment efforts are dedicated to engaging only the very best teaching professionals our children deserve nothing less.

Preference is given to those with advanced degrees, at least 2 years of experience in an accredited elementary or secondary school, and experience (and certification) in teaching the specific subject area for which they are applying. ALS is an English medium school and complete fluency in written and spoken English is required.
