Welcome to our school, and to our community. At Singapore School, Pantai Indah Kapuk, we have curated an exceptional programme tailored from the world’s gold standard education systems. We do this to ensure every child, whatever their strengths, receives a broad curriculum and has access to world-class educational opportunities.

Our programme is unique – we are the only school in Jakarta offering a well-rounded curriculum which includes the Singapore Curriculum in Primary, followed by Cambridge, International Baccalaureate and a broad range of vocational BTEC courses in High School.

Our job as educators is to prepare students for the future – a changing world we can barely conceive. Experts believe that within ten years, up to 80% of current jobs may no longer exist. Therefore, students must receive an innovative education which gives them the skills to approach any challenge. At SIS-PIK, we believe that successful learners are independent learners and all our teaching develops skills of reflection, resourcefulness, resilience and reciprocity. We believe that education is a journey, and all our students are working towards the SIS PEAK of our Senior High – from the foothills of our Preschool, through the trail of Primary, the Basecamp of Junior High, and the Climb to the Peak of Senior High School. From here, our students are launched into a future of life-long learning, moving on to the world’s very top universities including institutions in the US, UK, Canada, China, Singapore and Australia.

Whilst a rigorous academic programme is vital for any good school, we also understand that a happy child is a successful child. We pride ourselves on having strong pastoral systems in place, providing engaging co-curricular activities allowing students to form long lasting friendships.

The curriculum of SIS-PIK provides students with the opportunities to take risks, ask questions, explore ideas, and develop their imaginations while engaging them through active learning and rigorous study. At the beginning of each academic year, we take the time to ponder; as a school – what are our strengths, and how can we use them to improve. Whereas, the Singaporean curriculum encourages a set of personal moral virtues such as resolve, diligence, perseverance and humility. As we strive to be a better school, we wonder what “success” really looks like for our kids. It’s been heartwarming for us to listen to educators at our school, across divisions and departments, who are wanting to find ways to celebrate students in so many ways beyond just academic achievement. Academic success is only one important part of what makes up a successful student, a great school demands more than that.

Students must be great learners, but also taking steps to pursue their passions, developing leadership, sportsmanship and an understanding of fair play. They need to be a good friend, empathetic, honest and caring to others. All of us make mistakes, and excellent students use mistakes as a launching pad to learn. They understand that effort, perseverance and grit holds the key to success. It is ultimately our responsibility as adults to celebrate these successes with each individual student as often as we can. We believe that powerful learning happens when children feel safe, happy and loved.

Each morning as we watch our parents huddle with their children for a last few seconds before sending them off through the flat barriers teachers, we are very much struck by the uniqueness that is SIS-PIK. We care as much about developing character, diligence and humility as we do academic excellence. We are a community that cares about the children in our charge, challenging them to be better each day. Indeed we aspire to empower our students to Greater Heights.
