Job Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Manager role in Jumeirah Creekside Hotel. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the engineering functions under his control
  • To ensure that the property and assets are maintained in the highest order through the implementation of the “ Jumeirah Engineering Management System” and the appointment of suitable competent personnel
  • Supervise and direct the daily activities of all Engineering Department supervisors and subordinates
  • Observe activities to ensure adherence to policies and operating procedures
  • Check on completed repair and maintenance works to ensure that established standards have been met
  • Assists in the implementation, co-ordination and monitoring of the JEMS (Jumeirah Engineering Management System).This will include the Fire, Life and Safety Matrix, PPM and Work Order Systems)
  • Handle grievances, suggestions and complaints by colleagues and recommends appropriate action to Resident Engineer
  • Submit a comprehensive monthly report to Resident Engineer on activities carried out for the month (if required)
  • Be familiar with and comply with all relevant Engineering department policies, processes and procedures
  • To perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role in a 5 star hotel experience
  • Mechanical or Electrical diploma or equivalent
  • Experience of working with high volume and occupancy levels
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of colleagues.
