Job Summary
A Data and Analytics Team Leader is responsible for creating value out of data, proactively fetching information from various sources, analyzing it for better understanding about how the business performs, and building tools that automates data processes within the company.
Key Accountabilities
- Conduct research on best practices in the company’s relevant business process areas and stay abreast of market trends and activities.
- Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems Process, cleanse and verify the integrity of data used for analysis to ensure accuracy in the business solutions and quality of reporting data presented to relevant parties.
- Explore and analyze the data to determine the trends, opportunities and also weaknesses.
- Develop customized algorithms to extract data from large data sets, analyze the data to identify patterns, anomalies and emergent trends and opportunities for potential business growth.
- Design and develop business intelligence/data visualization reports and metrics to present data in a concise way to diverse audiences.
- Create and implement an action-plan of initiatives and campaigns with customers in line with the division strategy.
- Work with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams and be able to discover solutions derived from the data findings.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge
- Experience in Database Management System and querying languages; SQL server and Oracle
- Experience in Statistical Packages such as R, SAS, SPSS is a plus
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools
- 6 to 8 years of experience in Data Analysis – Retail is a major plus
- Proficiency in Machine Learning Algorithm, Predictive Analysis, and Artificial Intelligence
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer science or Applied Mathematics
