Oldcastle is a friendly, vibrant community, with tremendously energetic and creative staff, who are committed to providing a wonderful primary education for all our children. We continually strive to create an excellent school, where individuals are valued, achievements celebrated and where children are happy and safe. We believe that we should be ambitious for each child and that all children deserve an excellent education.

All pupils and staff should want to come to school every day and take pride in moving their school forward. Education is a partnership between home and school and we place a great deal of emphasis on our relationship with parents. We believe that children learn best when home and school work together. We aim to work in partnership, in order to provide our children with a wealth of experience through a broad and balanced curriculum on which can be built the understanding and skills needed for life.

School Aims

• To provide the highest academic standards in all aspects of the curriculum, continually monitoring and reviewing our teaching practice
• To foster pupils’ enthusiasm and develop their knowledge and understanding to enable them to be ‘successful learners’
