Director IT Solutions Planning and Implementation

Job Summary

1. Lead and manage the planning, design and delivery of IT solutions expansion scope or new IT platforms and solutions for Mobily’s needs guided by the objective of operational efficiency.
2. Lead and manage the development of high- and low-level design in collaboration with the application design, testing and implementation of new solutions and services so as to derive the requirements and to ultimately provide competitive services to internal customers.
3. Articulate the IT Solution delivery blue print for introducing new IT platforms/ solutions including the expansion plans for applications / systems in line with the budget and planned roadmap of IT.
4. Develop solution delivery plans and manage preparation of operational guidelines related to IT Solutions Delivery
5. Lead and manage end-to-end solution development and delivery across multiple application domain development units to meet business needs and customer requirements
6. Review service requirements and technical design to ensure its alignment with the enterprise architecture and high level design.
7. Manage multiple project initiatives, providing project structure, resourcing plans and driving project delivery to ensure that the software development specifications and schedules are met.
8. Implement end-to-end solutions for various application domains and successfully develop in collaboration with the vendors/ Service providers and internal IT team and handover requested services to Operations Unit.
9. Ensure all documentation of the products are as per the specifications and software documentation guidelines and maintain these documents with up to date changes and versions
10. Monitor performance of IT solutions/applications including the governance of IT network, data and technology architecture and ensure end-to-end IT applications demarcation, performance and SLAs.
11. Guide innovation and enhancement of the IT solutions and applications to ensure they are aligned with changings business need and market trends.
12. Ensure the communication with different departments to resolve conflicts and to keep work flows operating smoothly.
13. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as designated by the line manager.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Engineering or a similar discipline.
• A minimum of Seven (7) years of experience in IT Solution Development or a related field – 5 Years in a managerial position

Managerial Responsibilities

• Contribute to the achievement of the strategic objectives of the sector through performing own responsibilities and managing direct reports performance.
• Set the department’s goals and objectives and ensure the cascading of such to reporting sections, and guide their achievement.
• Contribute to the development of the sector’s policies, procedures and processes through providing input as advised by the direct supervisor.
• Provide direction and advice to the direct reports in performing their delegated responsibilities.
• Ensure the ongoing development of the department’s employees, and assure the developmental activities of direct reports.
• Oversee the overall performance of direct reports and ensure KPI’s are well communicated and monitored.
