Job Summary
Master Driver Trainer Instructor will report to the CLVB Supervisor and perform administrative functions to facilitate the training, testing, and licensing of military and civilian personnel for military driver licenses IAW AR 600-55, The Army Driver and Operator Standardization Program (Selection, Training, Testing, and Licensing), and local Command directives.
Major Job Activities
- Process requests for initial and/or updated OF 346, and ASG-KU Operator Permits Motor Vehicle Operator’s Identification Card, from authorized personnel to include, but not limited to military, DA civilian and contractor-employed personnel.
- Provide training in accordance with AR 600-55, the Army Drivers Selection and Operator Standardization Programor the most current industry military standards.
- Maintain oversight of commercial and non-tactical vehicle operating training program.
- Establish an effective training program on operating tactical and non-tactical vehicles/equipment.
- Ensures assigned operators, department master drivers, examiners, and licensing personell are trained and licensed IAW AR 600-55.
- Ensures that all licensed drivers are given annual sustainment training IAW AR 600-55, ensures training records are updated according.
- Ensures AR 385-55 the Army Regulation for the prevention of motor vehicle accidents are emphasized in training.
- Updates Drivers Training SOP; outlines how newly arrived employees will be trained and licensed prior to operating vehicles or equipment.
- Monitors drivers performance, and where appropriate, drivers with good performance records receive for sustained performance. Recommend Safety awards annotated on the employees DA Form 348 record.
- Develops guidance for interviewing and selecting driver candidates and suggested interview questions.
- Monitors records and performance of drivers to determine if remedial training is needed.
- Ensures all section master drivers have a valid copy of appointment orders to the instruct drivers.
- Ensurses personnel recieve proper training on performing PMCS.
- Conduct reviews of operators records for accuracy and completiness as required.
- Reviews all accident review boards results and gives recommendation.
Material & Equipment Directly Used
Personal computer, printers, network equipment and other general office equipment. Busses and other vehicles/equipment to conduct Driving Test.
Working Environment
- Work is generally conducted in the outdoor area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
- Work consist of driving, training and testing employees on various type of equipment’s IAW the SOW and other guidelines set by the company.
Physical Activities
Work may require heavy lifting up, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- Must have current Kuwait Driver’s License
- Must have knowledge and process a license on MHE / military equipment and Ground Support
- Equipment relevant to the contract.
- Experience in Microsoft Word/ Excel Programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and Customer Service Skills is a must.
Experience
- 5 -Years’ experience in Drivers Training Operation of a Master Driver
- 2-5 Years with experience in providing training to a large audience.
Skills
