Network Security Engineer

Job Summary

A network security engineer is responsible for all network security related problems and configuration (such as firewalls, VPN, ISE, IPS, content filtering, wireless devices)
Also, he will provide maintenance service on the software products.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Installation of new software release: periodically install new releases or versions of the software products on the company’s network systems. Such installation of new releases will be scheduled as required
• Preventive Maintenance:carry out such regular preventive checks as may be required to keep the equipment in good operating condition, in accordance with the specific needs of the individual item of Equipment. Preventive Maintenance will include logs review, lubrication, if applicable, adjustments, modifications, repairs or replacements; all preventive Maintenance shall be performed at a time agreed with the IT staff, during the regular hours of service
• Reporting: produce summary reports of all activities and information on the Service they provide, on a monthly and quarterly basis to the company. The purpose of such reports is to enable the company to assess whether the Service is being provided satisfactorily and that plans for continuous improvement are in effect.

Network Security Engineer shall

• Install and configure network security hardware and software. Maintain, troubleshoot, install and upgrades security systems, which include hardware, Software, access methods, VPN, and Protocols
• Plan, design, implement, optimize, and monitor installation of network security solutions
• Generate network monitoring/security reports for LAN/ WAN
• Recommend network design changes/ enhancements for improved systems security, availability and performance
• Follow up on the incidents and ensuring that they will be solved according to the service levels
• Responsible for reporting any security incident violation related to the services
• Maintain any disaster recovery plans

Minimum Requirements

• University degree (B.E/ Bsc.) in computer / electronics related area
• Cisco CCIE Security certified
• Strong working knowledge of Security Services, Networking, Security Policy, and Consulting
• Proven experience in installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting network security solutions and related monitoring tools including L2/ L3 network devices,
• Network Admission Control (NAC), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), 802.lx, Firewalls, IDS/ IPS, VPN Solutions, Web Application Firewalls, Content Filtering, Net Flow Analysis
• Strong diagnosis and troubleshooting skills
• Experienced in Wireless configuration
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in solving network security problems.
• Shall be dynamic and update his knowledge of server hardware software continuously through further reading and courses organized by company
• Fluent in English
• Good interpersonal skills
