The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the newly established School of Epidemiology and Public Health. This research intensive school, comprised of over 150 core, adjunct, and cross-appointed faculty members, is a young and vibrant environment with research and teaching foci in multiple Health-related fields. It offers a discipline-based graduate program, and participates in interdisciplinary graduate programs, professional undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, and professional development activities.
We seek applicants specifically in the area of biostatistics. The School currently offers MSc and PhD degrees in Epidemiology; an MSc degree in Biostatistics; and a Graduate Diploma in Population Health Risk Assessment and Management. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct a vigorous program of independent, externally funded research and to contribute to the enhancement of graduate student training in this area.

Education
PhD in Biostatistics (preferred) or a PhD in Statistics (with a demonstrated specialization/concentration in Biostatistics) or a PhD in Epidemiology (or related degree) with a demonstrated specialization/concentration in Biostatistics).
Work experience
A commitment to teaching and graduate training in biostatistics, a strong record of accomplishment in interdisciplinary collaboration, and excellent communication skills.
