The ideal candidate is an experienced practitioner who is committed to further developing Key Stage 1 curriculum and co-curricular programme in a vibrant learning environment. At The British Prep, Key Stage 1 aims to provide a smooth transition from the Foundation Stage, incorporating elements of continuous provision, opportunities for an independent inquiry and allowing for student-led learning where possible. Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to establish a good working relationship, creative approach to learning within an integrated curriculum and a strong understanding of how the environment can impact student learning.
A minimum of two years teaching experience is required either in the UK or overseas with UK National Curriculum teaching experience, regardless of nationality. Applicants holding a Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a first degree plus a post-graduate qualification in education (i.e. PGCE) is also essential.
British Education Korea was established in 2010 and has two International Pre-Prep Institutions in Bundang and Dongtan, both well-planned and desirable areas of Seoul. The first Pre-Prep opened in Bundang in 2010 followed by the opening of a second a year later at Dongtan in 2011.
