Established in 1969, BSB is an all-through international school with 1,350 students from 70 nationalities aged from 1-18 years. The leading IB school in Belgium, we are the only school to offer three pre-university routes: A Levels, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma and BTEC vocational courses in Business, Sports and Hospitality. Our Primary curriculum offers a bespoke, skills-based, inquiry-driven approach adapted from the UK national curriculum to meet the needs of our diverse student population.

(Collaboratively created by staff, students, parents, and governors 2016/17)
Our Vision
BSB will be a centre of learning excellence and an educational force for good, every day for every child.
Our school will:
We offer a British-based curriculum, adapted to our European context and international student body. BSB is an environment where students can grow as individuals and make confident decisions. Exam results are important, but becoming well-rounded individuals and global citizens is important, too. We are one of the only schools in Belgium to offer truly bilingual courses: we offer a French/English bilingual programme across 10 Year Groups, starting in Reception (age 4-5). We also offer Dutch lessons for children as young as seven years old.
All students follow a British-based curriculum up to the age of 16 (GCSE and International GCSE). Post-16, BSB is the only school in Belgium to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, A Levels, and BTEC vocational courses. Students can also choose to study for a Bilingual IB Diploma in French/English or Dutch/English.
Learning is at the heart of our curriculum but we also value personal growth and development. At BSB, we help students to achieve their goals inside and out of the classroom, discovering talents through a diverse range of Enichment activities from music and drama to science clubs, mathematical quests, sports and the Arts.
