Thank you once again for doing your part to keep Edarabia the most trusted education source.
In short, I did not have a good experience interacting with the staff at the college fair but manager reached out to me to apologize and i really appreciate that. i'll still keep my option open for uoit after i graduate from college.

This university is mediocre at best. Its overall description is as follows:
Pros:
Quiet campus which is great for studying.
Relatively newer buildings and infrastructure.
Academic advisors from Engineering faculty are super nice and friendly.
Easiest university admission
Cons:
Extremely expensive because you're forced to rent crappy laptops
You're forced to take tutorials in filthy portables
Doesnt even feel like a university, but rather a giant high school.
They're tuition processing is slow and dont even allow for credit card payments.
The university still hasn't built much of any reputation or connection with employers.
Overall it doesnt seem to live up to the standards of a decent educational institution.

The people working in the registrar's office are extremely rude, judgemental, and condescending. I would suggest students to stay away from those losers.

Rude Professors, do no know what they are doing and very disorganized and are not open to helping students. Not sure why they make you take communication studies when it does not pertain to law.

I am currently an international student studying at UOIT. I chose this university as it is one of the few universities that offer the Mechatronics Engineering program. Even though they are much smaller than other universities in size, they have quite a lot of facilities. They also have their very own wind tunnel. Needs improvement in teaching as some of the teachers are really bad. However, overall the university is really great.

Its a good school, largest lecture is like 250. Offers lots of help with course material. Good professors. People here are pretty good. Decent size course load
BUT ...
EXTREMELY expensive, Dorms are filled with "high school" drama, Oshawa is boring, Expensive, Cafeteria "A" has awful Food, Not many sports teams

All they want is money. The people at the registers office are so rude. 10/10 would NOT recommend. If you're looking at moving to this school. You shouldn't.

I am an engineering student at UOIT. I chose to go to UOIT because of it's program and campus. It is a smaller university compared to many other big names in Canada and USA, but It's quality is none less than other reputed universities. The faculty members do a lot for students and make sure the university offers a great learning environment for students.
I would definitely recommend UOIT to any student. It's full of quality without a famous name as it's a new university. There are many alumis from UOIT that are making their mark in the industry and I am confident that 10 years down the road they will be in admirable positions.
There is always room for improvement in any institution, and UOIT is expanding their campus to accommodate more enrollment.

No campus life, campus is just a bunch of buildings built around the same piece of grass. Instructors are pretty bad, and some have poor English. They're clearly still trying to figure out what they're doing. I do not recommend it.

The education at this University in Ontario is a perfect blend of rigorous academics and personalized support, allowing my child to grow not only intellectually but personally.
