International College Spain (ICS), a Nord Anglia Education School! It is my privilege to return to ICS for the second time after a three year absence and to be a part of what is a strong and successful school. Throughout its history, ICS has championed a holistic education for international students and has been very successful at developing caring, informed global citizens and leaders of the future. ICS is a very happy school with a warm atmosphere that is palpable as soon as you enter the school grounds.

We are a very vibrant international community of more than 70 nationalities. Our school mission of ‘Learning Together for a Better World’, taken together with a strong emphasis on our group’s philosophy of ‘Be Ambitious’, places us in a unique position to positively impact the lives of our students and the local community. Central to our philosophy is the understanding that the next generation of global citizens needs a principled international vision which is truly encompassed by our thinking.

Being the only school in Madrid to offer the three IB programmes PYP, MYP and IBDP in English, we provide an educational programme where our classes are active and we learn together in a collaborative learning atmosphere. Academics at our school are a priority for us, as are personality development, communication skills, team-working abilities and critical thinking skills. This emphasis on whole-child learning in an international context is a cornerstone of our approach.

Our outstanding IBDP results and placements in premier universities worldwide, including Oxford, Cambridge and the Ivy League Universities, are a testament to our excellent delivery of the IB Programme and our dedicated students and staff.

Being part of the Nord Anglia Education group of schools brings advantages which other schools do not have and enables us to collaborate with not only other students, teachers and schools within the group but also with prestigious institutions such as Juilliard, MIT and Kings College. From the Tanzania Expedition to the UNICEF Global Challenge projects, all Nord Anglia Education schools and their students can learn with and from others within the group via an online virtual learning platform called Global Campus.
