Compass International School Doha Awarded LabelFrancÉducation Accreditation

Compass International School Doha (Compass) is delighted to announce that its Rayyan Campus has been awarded the LabelFrancÉducation accreditation for its French Bilingual Programme. Compass is the first school in Qatar with a French – English programme to receive the accreditation.

This prestigious accreditation is granted by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and based on the advice of a joint ministerial advisory committee composed of representatives from the French Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE), the French institute (IF) and Mission Laïque Française, a non-profit organisation.

LabelFrancÉducation is granted to schools promoting the French language and culture as part of their curriculum. At Compass International School Doha’s Rayyan Campus, the French Bilingual Programme educates children for the future with an education in both French and English. Children from Year 1 to Year 6 are immersed in both languages and are taught by one French native speaker teacher and one English native speaker teacher. The children are taught English and French as stand-alone languages to develop knowledge and skills in both languages. Maths and the International Primary Curriculum, which covers all other subject areas linked together by a common theme, are taught in both languages.

Amandine Goffart, Bilingual Lead at Compass International School Doha said: “Receiving the LabelFrancÉducation accreditation is an incredible achievement for our French Bilingual progamme which is now in its fifth year at our Rayyan Campus. At Compass International School Doha, we truly believe in the power of bilingual learning as a way to prepare our children for the 21st century.
