We seek a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor with background in the health professions and interest in curriculum and faculty development, quality assurance, and research in health professions education. The incumbent will contribute to continuing medical education for IMU staff with a strong relationship to IMU schools inspiring and supporting deeper understanding of teaching and learning for faculty development.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, development and oversight of scientific educational content for accounts across a range of areas in health professions education at the university including assessment and evaluation. The School of Postgraduate Studies has launched a certificate, diploma and master programme in Health Professions Education. The successful candidate must be able to engage and empower the development and delivery of these programmes.
IMU Centre for Education is one of the IMU resource centres devoted to advancing university pedagogy through postgraduate training of academic staff and maintain high standards of competency and educational integrity through continuous faculty development as well as dissemination of information and knowledge to national and international partners.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience designing and implementing educational training material for faculty development in higher education. Essential skills include teamwork, creative problem solving and the ability to work within the university’s systems.
