Candidates are required to hold a doctorate degree in Finance or a related field by the start date. Özyeğin University seeks candidates who have published in or aspire to publish in top-tier journals. Candidates from all subfields, e.g. corporate finance, modeling, asset pricing, portfolio management and risk management, are encouraged to apply. All candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching and to engage in service appropriate to their rank.
Candidates for assistant professor are expected to hold a Ph.D. or close to completing and defending their dissertation. They should show the potential to publish in top journals (indicated by manuscripts submitted to or being in higher rounds of revision at top tier journals) and to deliver quality teaching at both undergraduate and graduate level.
Candidates for senior positions must have a Ph.D. and an established record of publications in top tier journals, along with evidence of high-quality teaching. Candidates from all areas of finance will be considered. Salary and teaching loads are competitive and commensurate with rank and experience. Hüsnü M. Özyeğin Foundation began its efforts to found Özyeğin University in the autumn of 2005. The foundation of Özyeğin University entailed a comprehensive study that involved more than 500 persons including businessmen, faculty members, as well as university and high school students in addition to a study entitled "Developing Sectors and Professions in Turkey and in the World". Taking the results of these studies as a baseline, the core values and vision of the university are discussed and identified in collaboration with all stakeholders in line with the design efforts carried out by ARAMA.
