Community lies at the very heart of Clarendon both intrinsically and extrinsically. Our girls strive to make a positive and lasting impact not only on the school itself but also on the broader community around them.
At a school level, many of our girls have taken it upon themselves to train as umpires, referees, adjudicators, and administrative officials in various disciplines.
Our academic achievers selflessly support their peers through a Peer Tutoring program, which although overseen by our Head of Academics, is conducted on a one-on-one basis entirely by the girls themselves. This ensures a highly effective academic support structure for learners who desire further academic support.
Multifunction rooms for everything from in-class singing for all grades to individual/ group lessons for more specific talents. An introductory course on computers is held on a weekly basis, which includes coding and robotics. An after school facility which provides a supportive environment that includes homework supervision and home-cooked meals. This is a space for creative fun encompassing drama and library. Girls take out books, read, dance and draw from each other’s imaginations.
Our separate playgrounds are carefully designed to help develop motor skills and encourage problem solving. Dedicated to creative design, our girls are encouraged to express their creativity through various materials such as clay, pastels, dye, paint, pens, pencils, and paper mache.
A department that provides individual support to learners who have learning barriers or specific areas of weakness. This is a program that specifically focuses on Grade R in our school. "It is a research-based learning readiness program that is designed to help our girls develop fluency in essential reading, maths and handwriting skills.

At Clarendon we are extremely proud of the extraordinary women that Our Girls have become. They have gone on to make significant contributions in all walks of life and are testimony to the fact that when girls are given the opportunity to fulfil their potential, they have the power to change the world.
At its core the Old Girls’ Guild strives to keep our Clarendon Alumni connected. It is an inspiring and supportive community that is built upon shared memories and a vision of Clarendon’s future. Through active participation and various fundraising initiatives our old girls continue to have a profound impact on Clarendon.
The Old Girls’ Guild is dedicated to changing the lives of our girls through three monetary awards, which are presented on an annual basis.
Old Girls’ Guild High School Award: This is awarded to a girl who epitomises the Clarendon spirit through all facets of her high school career.
Betty Chew Award: The Betty Chew Memorial Scholarship pays tribute to a long-serving teacher, fondly remembered for her love of the English Language and Hockey. This is awarded to a deserving Grade 8 pupil at Clarendon High School.
Clarendon is a community of inspired individuals. From our ambitious girls, to our dedicated teachers and our passionate parents, everyone has a role to play in the success of our schools.
We encourage all our parents to play an active role in their daughters’ school life. Whether you only have a few hours to spare or can contribute on a more regular basis, you’ll discover it’s an investment well worth making. One day your daughter will be able to reflect fondly on her school career and appreciate the extra effort you made for her and her beloved school.
