Technology Experience Specialist

Job Summary

The Technology Experience Specialist is responsible for working with a team of Technical Product Owners, Architects, Developers and Designers to create compelling and creative user experiences, that strike a balance between the user’s intent and the business?s needs. They help ensure all Technology solutions are fit for purpose, improve end user productivity and are easy and enjoyable to use. Working with the team, the Technology Experience Designer ensure all experience designs are informed by industry standard best practices and inputs from research and product teams.

Outline

• Work with a team of cross functional experts to deliver user research, visual prototypes and usability testing.
• Drive adoption of the Experience Design playbook across the broader teams of Technical Product Management, Architecture and Development
• Leverage practice thinking to help continuously improve tools and methods that go into the continuous improvement of the experience design playbook.
• Participate in, and help facilitate, design thinking workshops and training sessions.
• Deliver the user experience of all non-customer facing products from the creation of design concepts to the final launch of the product as well as post-launch monitoring and analysis.
• Act as an advocate of the product to the users, imparting insight on the product?s value and usability.
• Work with specialists to ensure all products have baseline usability measures that serve as a benchmark to improve upon while product improvements are made.
• Work with team specialists to drive the practice of research and analysis and subsequent incorporation into the overall experience design principles.
• Work closely with the Scrum Team to develop user stories that genuinely reflect the user needs uncovered during discovery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in IT – UX/UI practice – 3+ years
• Experience in Human Factors, Psychology, Design or any other related field.
• 3+ years in Information Architecture, User Experience Design and Interaction Design
• Design Experience in product project delivery from the design stage through to launch.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly, interactively and persuasively to all audiences.
• Expert knowledge of Software that supports verbally and visually engaging presentations e.g. Visio, Fireworks, Adobe Suite, Sketch, Invision.
